A romper is the easiest way to look stylish without much work. I always make sure to pack one for vacations, since they are so easy to style from day to night. You can wear flats with them during the day, wedges in the afternoon and a simple heel for at night.
I got really lucky and bought this romper at the Tularosa sample sale for $40. It's actually now on sale at Saks for $68 (see the link below). I styled it with a clutch I bought at a Bali flea market on my honeymoon. I love the all white look with a pop of color.
These wedges have had their day. I should throw them out and move on but I just love them. They're from Steve Madden and you have no idea how many compliments I get on them! I think it's because of the blush straps. Prada made a version this season that were nearly identical. For some reason I can never get myself to spend a lot of money on wedges. No matter how nice the styles are (like this summer's Celine flatform) I feel guilty investing a lot of money in them. Especially since brands like Steve Madden make really nice ones that are actually very comfortable.
What's your thoughts on spending money on wedges? Worth the splurge or stick with Steve Madden?
