This look was so much fun to shoot. I love all things fringe and loved the gold and beige combo. When people come to visit us in LA they always ask what they should pack. The thing with LA is it can be so hot during the day and as soon as the sun goes down it can be freezing (well, the LA version of freezing). That's why it is necessary to layer.
Most of my closet consists of shoes and jackets. Every time I make a concerted effort to purchase a blouse, I end up deleting it from my shopping cart and replacing it with a jacket that I need (yes, I convince myself that I don't own anything like it). I prefer to invest in a few good t-shirts (like James Perse or Rag and Bone) and mix and match them with my jackets.
I can't believe it is Monday already. I had such a relaxing weekend with the Hubby. On Friday I came home from work and darted to the kitchen. I stared rummaging through the fridge to find anything to eat (by Friday our fridge is normally bare) and came across an envelope. My initial thought was holy shit there's an envelope in our fridge?! How long has it been here?! When was our last visitor?! How did I not see that ?! Do I really not cook that much?! (yes, all of those thoughts ran through my mind in five seconds). Ray was standing there laughing at me (my face must have said it all). I looked back at the fridge and next to the envelope was a bottle of champagne. He wrote me the most thoughtful card and insisted we celebrate the launch of She Went West. How sweet is that?!
We spent the rest of the weekend going on long walks with Luca (it was gorgeous this weekend), spinning, dinner at Soho House with friends and watching football (well, Ray watching and me blogging).
Thank you to everyone who reached out and sent me the kindest messages on Instagram, over email and on Facebook. It means so much to me. Can't wait to keep sharing my life in LA with you xoxo
