I posted a picture on Instagram yesterday of me in a winter coat. Coming from Montreal, half of my wardrobe (if not more) is suitable for -20 degrees Celsius. It seems like such a shame to put those clothes away and NEVER wear them. Therefore, I chose to make a fool of myself and wear a faux fur jacket in LA in what feels like a Montreal summer's day. My true fashionista friends (thanks Instagram peeps) totally support it! Others...well, who cares about them.
Luckily, not all of my winter wardrobe consists of faux fur coats. A lot of my statement jackets can be worn all year. This is one example. I bought this leopard coat at Zara years ago. I loved the fit and the way it dresses up a simple, yet classic, outfit. You can't go wrong with jeans, a white tee, pumps and a statement jacket.
Since I bought this coat years ago, I decided to link some statement jackets I am loving this season (Zara does have a current version on sale that I linked at the bottom of the post).
