Recent Beauty Favorites

January beauty favorites are here! Can you believe it's January already?! It's hard to believe it is the middle of "winter" when it was 26 degrees and pure sun in LA yesterday. As I mentioned on Instagram, we went to the Rose Bowl flea market this weekend.  The flea market was SO overwhelming. We got there early and I was ready to conquer the massive field full of incredible stalls. I went in with a list of home items I wanted to buy - pillows, a mirror, some decor. I left with two pillows. Yup, just two pillows. I got confused, frustrated, hot, annoyed, did I mention hot? and hungry. Next time I go I promise to be better prepared. I fell in love with a mirror and a few other things so I'm sure I'll be back.

Anyways, back to this month's beauty favorites!

I am a huge fan of the YSL Touche Eclat concealer. I don't buy it often because it is so expensive (and I'm obsessed with the Urban Decay naked concealer), but it will always be one of my favorites. I decided to try this YSL primer. I was looking for a silicone based primer. I know everyone is obsessed with the hourglass one but I wanted to try something different. At first I was hesitant about the gold flakes but I got a sample at Sephora to try and loved it. The texture is so silky and it helps to blur out pores and even the skin. The gold flakes just disappear (not sure what the point of them is, really.) Anyway, if you are looking for a luxurious primer, I definitely recommend this one.

I know that Tom Ford lipsticks are incredibly expensive, so I will end this paragraph with some great dupes. I got this color last summer and absolutely love it! Tom Ford lipsticks are so moisturizing which is great for winter. The color is a beautiful peachy-beige. While I would first suggest investing in a classic, like blush nude, I also really love this one. Temptalia gives a great list of dupes.

I feel like I want to do a post on this product alone. I went to Ulta in Miami to pick up a few products. While I was waiting to pay, I picked up a travel size of this CC cream. I'm always open to trying new brands and products. This CC cream is unbelievable. It is the perfect amount of coverage (lighter than a foundation but more coverage than a tinted moisturizer) and has an amazing smell. I find some foundations and CC creams will just sit on top of my skin but this one blends perfectly. It is perfect for a day makeup look. As soon as I finish this travel size I will be buying a full bottle.

This is the best wave spray I have ever tried. I said it. It is lightweight, smells amazing and gives a gorgeous beach wave texture to my hair. If I want to let my hair air dry, I will spray my damp hair with the wave spray and then add Eva NYC curl cream.

Let me start by saying I love to take baths. I try and take one every night. And while I love to add bath salts, I rarely spend a lot of time researching them or money investing in them. I tend to buy the same big bag of lavender bath salts from Target. These were sent to me a few weeks ago and I was so excited to try them. I was curious to see if there was a big difference between high quality ones, and my cheap Target ones. There definitely is. My favorite was Full Relaxation. They also have Beauty Bath, Skin Soothing and Wellness Plus.

What beauty products are you guys obsessed with this month?
