Dressing Up Shorts

This is one of the shoots I did a couple of years ago, and I still love the look. Ever since I moved to LA I've acquired so many jean shorts. My favorites are One Teaspoons and vintage Levi's. I bought these for $10 at the Melrose Flea Market. If you are ever in LA you need to go there. It's only open on Sundays. There is an abundance of vintage Levi jeans and shorts. My one tip for the flea market is to wear something really tight so that you can try shorts on top of whatever you are wearing. There are no dressing rooms (obviously) and the sizing of vintage levi's is really different.

Anyways, back to this look. Dressing up jean shorts is a great way to transition shorts from day to night. It's also a great way to bring them into fall, since "fall" in LA is still a million degrees. This white tee is actually from Forever 21. It was one of my favorite tees, but it got ruined in the dryer. I purchased another one and the same thing happened again (you think I would learn) and so I've given up. That is what you get for ten dollars. P.S. these shoes are currently on sale!
